Soft lenses

  • Solidaris

Up to and including 18 years: a triennial reimbursement of 55 euros

From 19 years: A triennial reimbursement of 45 euros for contact lenses.

  • Christian Mutuality

Up to and including 18 years: an annual reimbursement of 50 euros.

From 19 years: an annual reimbursement of 40 euros.

CM-Mediko Plan: up to 45 euros per year reimbursed on top of the annual reimbursement from the CM benefits, meaning a total of max 150 euros per year.

  • Liberal Mutuality

Annual reimbursement of up to 50 € for contact lenses.

One-time reimbursement of 100 € for night lenses, with prescription from the eye doctor.

  • Neutral Health Insurance Fund Flanders

If there is no statutory reimbursement, you can still get part of your costs for glasses, contact lenses, and frames reimbursed. Annually (also without prescription from the eye doctor) a reimbursement of €50. If you do have a prescription, you will receive an additional 50€ reimbursed every four years.

  • Independent Health Fund

You receive a reimbursement of up to €50 per person per calendar year when purchasing lenses that correct your vision. You only need a purchase receipt from the contact lens specialist. For lenses, we also ask you to submit a medical prescription once.

  • Partena (Euromut)

Partena Health Insurance provides a reimbursement of 50 euros for lenses every 2 years, with no age limit. This is limited to the paid price. A condition is that an eye doctor has prescribed the glasses or lenses. This benefit only applies if there is no reimbursement from the statutory health insurance.

The statutory reimbursement is separate from mutuality

  • more than -6.00 or +6.00 diopters, evaluated according to the refractive power of the contact lens in the meridian where the ametropia is maximum.
  • anisometropia of 3 diopters or more (a difference between the two eyes of 3.00 or more diopters)
  • keratoconus
  • monocular aphakia
  • irregular astigmatism

Renewal after:

  • 1 year (after delivery date)

Compared to earlier, subgroups have been added:

  • specific shape-stable corneal contact lenses
  • shape-stable corneoscleral contact lenses

 

There is a distinction between hard spherical lenses and toric lenses. For the toric lenses, you get more reimbursed. This reimbursement ranges from 190 euros to 420 euros.

There is also a difference in low oxygen-permeable hard lenses or higher oxygen-permeable lenses. You get more reimbursed for the higher oxygen-permeable hard lenses.

The reimbursement is only possible if you have a prescription (this is valid for 6 months) from an eye doctor and then a certificate (attachment 15, this must be delivered within 2 months after the last provision) from a recognized optician.

Adjusting hard lenses is also reimbursed. With the first adjustment, you get reimbursed more than with a renewal adjustment.
